Legendary restaurant chain to celebrate grand opening in Lexington July 10
LEXINGTON, KY (June 29, 2017) – Lexington is about to get its first taste of Bennigan’s, the iconic brand beloved across the globe for its chef-driven American fare and friendly Irish hospitality.
The new restaurant, located at 5532 Athens Boonesboro Road, near the University of Kentucky, will kick off the grand opening festivities on Monday, July 10, at 2 p.m. with an official ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by the Lexington Chamber of Commerce, Mayor Jim Gray, Councilwoman Kathy Plomin and State Senator Reginald Thomas. Bennigan’s franchisee Kenneth Moore will be joined by Legendary Restaurant Brands Chairman and CEO Paul Mangiamele for the ceremony.

The newest Bennigan’s will offer more than a dozen beers on tap, multiple HD TVs and plenty of banquet space. Its menu will feature such signature Bennigan’s favorites as the World Famous Monte Cristo, Oh, Baby™ Back Ribs, the Turkey O’Toole, the Big Irish double-decker hamburger and a wide assortment of handcrafted specialty drinks.
In addition, Lexington guests will enjoy several all-new items recently added to the menu, including three new handcrafted, half-pound Prime Burgers and Lina’s Crispy Chicken Sandwich – recently ranked by Flavor & The Menu Magazine as No. 15 in its “Best of Flavor 125 Menu Ideas.”

The kitchen in Lexington’s first Bennigan’s will be open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and 11 a.m. to 12 midnight Friday and Saturday. The bar will be open from 11 a.m. to 12 midnight Sunday through Thursday, and 11-1 a.m. Friday and Saturday.
